The Scholarship Program
The following scholarships are awarded annually to students to assist with college expenses. They are funded through The Sherrard Academic Foundation and The Holdsworth Memorial Scholarships.
We partner with The Moline Foundation to administer this scholarship program. Scholarship Awards will be paid directly to the college/school upon proof of enrollment expenses.
Our goal is to award:
- Four $1,000 SAF scholarships to students attending a 4-year, 2-year or trade school
- Two $750 scholarships to students attending a community college or trade school
Additional scholarships are awarded as funding allows
Wish to apply for a scholarship?
Application Criteria:
- Sherrard High School graduating senior
- Minimum of 2.0 gpa
- Attending either a four year, community college or a vocational/technical/trade school
- Maximum 750 word essay about why you are entering a chosen area of study
- A recommendation letter from a teacher or mentor
